Erin Ness was born in 1978 and raised in Ocean Beach on the Jersey Shore, she currently resides in New York City. Erin began playing cards when she was only a young child, her family would all sit around the table playing card games such as War, Gin Rummy, Hearts, and Poker for hours. While Erin was away at college at Georgetown University she would take every opportunity possible to play poker often playing up to three times a week, Erin had her sights set on the big game and her regular poker playing would prepare her for the big games that she longed to play in.

In 2004 Erin earned her way into the World Series of Poker when she won an office tournament at Maxim Magazine, all of the employees of Maxim were invited to play in a company poker tournament with the winner receiving an all expenses paid trip and the $10,000 buy-in needed to enter into the main event of the World Series of Poker, Erin was confident that it would be her representing her company in the tournament. During the event Erin managed to catch the eye of many of the other poker players from around the world due to her sweet demeanour at the table, Erin managed to finish in the money in 207th place winning $8,500 and was the third highest ranking female finisher in the 2004 event with players Lucy Rokach finishing in 159th place and Rose Ritchie finishing in 98th place.

Erin was also invited to compete in the Poker Royale: Young Blood Tournament, which was broadcast on (GSN) the Game Show Network, Erin finished in second beating out a very talented field which included pros David Williams, Erica Schoenberg, Scott Fischman, Mike 'the Grinder' Mizrachi and Michael Sandberg. The Game Show Network realised Erin's potential at pulling in viewers when it came to broadcasting poker games so they invited Erin to come back for another show the Battle of the Ages.

Erin has still kept her Day job at Maxim Magazine not only the she has been promoted from Photo Assistant to Photo Editor despite this Erin stills tries to play poker as often as she can. Erin spends a lot of her time causing a stir in the New York City poker club scene and plans to continue to participate in tournaments whenever she gets the chance.
