Poker Player - Doyle Brunson

Doyle Brunson was born in Longworth, Texas on August 10th, 1933. During his high school career, Doyle played Baseball, Basketball and also run track, despite his capability in various athletic activities Doyle was chosen as one of the top five Basketball players in the state of Texas, so offers poured in from a number of colleges, he finally decided on Hardin-Simmons. There was great interest in Doyle's Basketball skills especially from the NBA Lakers (then known as the Minneapolis Lakers), until Doyle had an accident and snapped his knee in two places while he was working. When Doyle graduated from college with a Masters Degree in Administrative Education he tried to make a career from this but never managed to make a good living so he decided he would hang up his court shoes and instead play poker to feed his competitive nature, he found himself going from one poker table to the next. During his early poker days Doyle met many now famous names, in the 1960's Doyle married his childhood sweetheart Louise they had four children together. Later the family moved to Las Vegas as Doyle found that invitations to poker games were scares in Texas as he had already won at nearly all the top prize poker games.
