Poker Rooms - Luxor Las Vegas:
The Luxor Las Vegas is one of the most refined and luxurious hotels and casinos in Vegas. Designed in the shape of a pyramid thirty stories tall and two imposing towers, Luxor aims to bring the air of an Egyptian pharaoh to every guest that enters. Though the resort has all the splendor of ancient Egypt, it also contains many technological marvels of the modern world. The Luxor sits near the south end of the Strip.
Luxor offers guests almost unlimited entertainment options. First, of course, there is the huge 120,000 square foot casino, one of Vegas’ largest. The casino games include Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow, Slots, Poker and Megabuck. There is also a 110-seat race and sports book room that comes equipped with 128 individual monitors and 5 big-screen TVs.
If you are looking for interesting places to eat, the Luxor has a whole host of fine dining options. The Luxor Steakhouse, La Salsa, Pyramid Café and Chinese cuisine Fusia all offer outstanding fare, while the underground Pharaoh’s Pheast Buffet adds a certain ambience to your attractively priced meal.
The Luxor rooms themselves are an attraction. Spacious and beautifully decorated in Middle Eastern finery, they look down on the world’s largest indoor atrium. Every standard room includes high-speed Internet access, air conditioning, clock radios, cable TV, pay-per-view movies and a phone with voice mail. Up to four guests are allowed to stay in each room.
There is also a world-class spa called Nurture, which offers all sorts of massages and services, located in the pool area. The 5-acre pool area is home to 4 separate pools and 4 Jacuzzis. There is also a health club in the hotel.
Visitors looking for exciting entertainment will not disappointed by what the Luxor has to offer. The attractions floor in the main atrium is filled with progressive film and ride technology, including a motion simulator that takes riders on an Egyptian adventure, a massive video arcade called Games of the Gods, and the always-amazing IMAX Theater, which stands 68 feet tall and features an incredible 15,000 watt sound system. There is also a meticulous recreation of King Tut’s Tomb to go along with the pharaoh theme. Other entertainment options abound. For those looking for something on the edgy side, Luxor hosts the famous topless show Fantasy, along with shows by the world’s craziest comedian, Carrot Top. Club LAX, a new nightlife attraction, is scheduled to open in summer 2007.
Those interested in doing some shopping will enjoy the Luxor Galleria, a shopping promenade that boasts many small retail stores. The Mandalay Palace, an upscale boutique mall that joins the Luxor to the Mandalay Bay Hotel, also contains over 40 shops and restaurants – basically its own little mall.
The Luxor also includes the Chapel at Luxor for wedding ceremonies, a 15,000 square foot ballroom for special events, a business center, a beauty salon to keep guests looking fresh during their stay, and a two-story parking garage. For your convenience, a monorail travel from next-door Mandalay Bay all the way down the Strip to Excalibur. Other hotel amenities include: currency exchange, laundry and luggage service, maid service, valet parking, wake-up calls, and walkways to both Mandalay Bay Hotel and the Excalibur Hotel.
The truly amazing and unique atmosphere of the mystical Luxor will be sure to impress even the most jaded guest. The hotel calls itself “The Newest Wonder of the World” and it’s easy to see why. There is no other experience in Las Vegas quite like it.
